Stevie named and inspired by Stevie Nicks this Pattern evokes the eptiome of a free spirit, captivating and mesmerising in equal measure.

Stevie Nicks burst onto the music scene in the 70s with her dramatic style and bewitched us all with her draping, flowing frocks. In addition to her music prowess, Stevie is known for her bohemian-meets -rock n’ roll style.

Few people have defined free-spirited boho fashion quite like Stevie Nicks. Her sense of style and fashion was a huge influence over two decades. Flowy fabrics and vintage materials, her style is cyclical, and this pattern will work well throughout the seasons in silk velvets, dobby, lace, viscose, lawn, crepe - just about anything drapery. I’ve made her here in a variety of fabrics, an embroidered tulle, an up-cycled crocheted table cloth, a hand-blocked Indian print and a fine cotton dobby.

This pattern can easily be made in a day. There are no zips or buttons - it is a ‘sew easy’,  ‘make in a day’ dress. Customise it by adding fringing instead of a frill to mirror the fringed shawls that Stevie wore. Or make it in a seductive black lace, as Stevie often wore in true music iconic fashion.

Make it short in an embroidery Anglaise for the beach, with or without jeans or shorts.  Sweep the floor with an amazing print, work or play this pattern - it’s  so versatile.  Chuck on a wrap, kimono or biker jacket to wear out to a gig or the park.  Accessorise with a hippy hat…

Let’s see how you can rock this pattern!
